A somatic interval training workout for the full body that incorporates vibrational sound, ecstatic dance, yoga, pilates, breath and other bodily expressions in repetitive movements played to the rhythmic beat of music. A pause will occur between songs creating a cathartic felt sensation which is heard and held. We move into sequences, working on different parts of the body per song. We will shake, jump, lunge, push, and twist through stuck emotions. It’s more than a full body work-out, it’s a work-in. Bare feet or clean indoor tennis shoes are encouraged, some props such as light weights, bands, and blocks may be incorporated. Incense will be burned prior to start of class.
*doors will be locked at the start time
Grounding asanas held for 5-10 minutes followed by a rebound state allows for the lubrication of the joints, ligaments and stretches the facial tissue. The connective tissue that runs qí (life force energy) to all surfaces of the muscular-skeletal system. Yin yoga aids in flexibility, mobility and injury prevention. We will use somatic breathing techniques explore the depths of our bodies and help foster repair and renewing. Props, such as bolsters, blocks, blankets, straps, etc are encouraged, but unlike in restorative yoga in which props support and hold you, we use props in yin to facilitate presence. In yin, we want to feel the stretch, sensation allows for conversation in the body.

Yin and Yang. Breath and Movement. Rest and Flow. 45 minutes of yin energy and 45 minutes of yang energy. Class will start with breath and meditation and slowly transition to a gentle flow. Upbeat music will guide us through movement postures eventually creating heat in the body as we continue to connect with breath. After reaching the crest of class, we will ground back down with long-held yin and restorative postures coming to rest. A unique experience led by both yoga guides Michelle and Bronson.

A brief meditation journey, where we focus on the breath in stillness. Curating some visual cues, guidance, while cultivating inner peace.
Benefits of a regular meditation practice reduces stress, improves focus, clarity, creativity, information processing and emotional regulation.
One cannot breathe for your past and one cannot breathe for their future. We breathe for the present moment.
During Yin and Pin, you will receive the benefits of yin yoga; long-held grounding poses, 4-8 minutes, aiding your flexibility, improving circulation, and enhancing range of motion. After movement you will find a resting position and a licensed acupuncturist will be inserting 4-6 needles strategically placed below the elbows and knees, on the head, and/or in the ears. Acupuncture uses thin, single use, sterilized, stainless steel needles inserted gently into specific points in the body to support your body's systems. Similar in concept to Prana, Chinese Medicine works with qi in the body to help harmonize both the body and the mind. The recognition of each seasonal and energetic shift within our planet and our bodies will direct the placement of the needles each time to honor these transitions. By combining acupuncture and yin yoga, we can tap more deeply into our quiet and powerful yin nature to support the nervous system and overall well-being. Come join us to experience the beautiful union of Chinese medicine and yin yoga! Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothes.

A sound bath is a deeply-immersive, full-body listening experience that can have therapeutic and restorative effects. True, one would think we listen with our ears, but we also feel and interpret through our whole body.
This class will involve a few, long-held yin yoga poses to stimulate the meridian channels of the body. Which help open pathways to detoxify while also stimulating chi flow restoring balance and vitality. Then we will move into a breath technique before getting comfortable for our meditation with the added benefits of sound therapy. Sitting closer to the bowls will create a more felt vibrational experience, but also, if you have sensitivity to loud noises, bring earplugs or sit towards the back of the room .
Props and mats will be provided at no extra cost. Class is 75 minutes total. Doors will lock at the start of class.
Come with open hearts and leave with a free mind.
