Yin Yoga

Slow down. Soften. Listen.

Yin is an invitation to turn inward and become curious about the subtle conversations happening within the body.

Through long-held, grounding postures and spacious pauses between them, we create time and space for the body to soften into sensation. Rather than moving quickly from one shape to the next, we linger — allowing the connective tissues, joints, and fascia to be gently explored while cultivating greater mobility, flexibility, and ease.

Somatic breathing and mindful awareness help us move beyond simply doing the posture and into feeling it. In yin, sensation becomes a way of listening. We learn to notice what the body is communicating without needing to change, fix, or push it.

Props are encouraged — bolsters, blocks, blankets, straps, and whatever else helps you find your shape. Unlike restorative yoga, where props often support the body into complete rest, in yin we use them to help us find an appropriate edge: enough sensation to feel, enough space to breathe, and enough softness to stay present.

This is a practice of patience, presence, and permission.

A place to slow down enough to hear yourself.
To meet the body where it is.
And to remember that sometimes, less is where the deeper work begins.
